This is the poster I have designed for a hypothetical African music festival in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The festival of cultures and musical miscegenation ¨WOMAD¨ has been held for many years now in Las Palmas, but no cultural event has ever been held exclusively related to the close African continent. This poster is the first stone of my proposal for a musical event of this kind. The poster itself, for what could be this new folkloric festival and also of new African musical trends, represents a woman of colour, with deep blue eyes and fleshy red lips, inspired by the hodgepodge of the new African cultures.
